Recently, the 2024 Liaoning Undergraduate College Students Mechanical Innovation Design Competition, hosted by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education and the Liaoning Provincial Department of Finance and hosted by Shenyang University of Technology, has come to an end. Our 18bet review won 11 provincial awards, namely 4 second prizes, 5 third prizes, and 2 excellent prizes.
This competition is hosted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Each participating team has completed the preliminary work after nearly 3 months of design, drawing and production. The 18bet review competition organizing committee adheres to the principles of fairness, justice and openness. After preliminary screening, a total of 13 teams were recommended to enter the provincial competition. The 11 teams that successfully advanced to the provincial competition have continuously improved their entries and kept striving for excellence, stood out among the provincial universities and finally won excellent results. It is reported that a total of 423 groups of works from 33 universities in Liaoning Province have been registered for the competition. After the preliminary and semi-finals, 215 groups of works finally entered the live finals.
The College Students Mechanical Innovation Design Competition is an important event approved by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the Mechanical Discipline Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. It has been included in the list of innovative talent training and subject competition evaluation for Chinese universities for three consecutive years. It is one of the difficult and high-quality key events in the college student science and technology competition. This year is the second time our 18bet review has participated in this competition. Through the competition organization and participation, our 18bet review’s teachers and students compete on the same stage, practice skills, and improve together, enriching the learning and life of the second classroom and exercising innovative design capabilities, comprehensive design capabilities and engineering practice capabilities. The achievements made in the competition fully implement the concepts, ideas and models of innovation and entrepreneurship education in our 18bet review, laying a solid foundation for students to move towards production practice in the future.
