In order to respond to the call of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the All-China Students Federation, in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Provincial Youth League Committee and the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education and other units for the 2019 "Challenge Cup" College Students' Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Works Competition, and in combination with the specific situation of our 188bet majors, our school organized the organization and recommendation of the 2019 "Challenge Cup" College Students' Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Works Competition in Liaoning Province.
In view of the gratifying results of our school in the 2016 and 2018 "Creating Youth" and 2017 "Challenge Cup" competitions, in order to further stabilize and improve the 188bet ranking in this competition, after receiving the competition notice, the whole school attached great importance to it and held an organization and coordination meeting attended by the College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Center, the School Youth League Committee, the Academic Affairs Office, the Student Affairs Office, the Science and Technology Office and various departments to clarify the goals and tasks of various subject competitions in 2019, and specifically emphasized that the significance of this competition is to improve the innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities of all teachers and students in the school, and requires relevant departments to play their functional roles, strengthen organization, cooperate with each other, mobilize widely, and improve the quality of participation.
After vigorous publicity, creating an atmosphere, serious organization, and extensive mobilization of various departments, the 188bet has received a total of 159 application works that have passed the qualification review. It has also been evaluated by experts from inside and outside the 188bet, and in accordance with the competition review standards announced by Liaoning Province, with the overall winning rate of the 188bet as the review target, a total of 30 works including "Intelligent Parking System Based on Narrowband Internet of Things Technology" are expected to be shortlisted for the Liaoning Province Finals.
In the process of organizing this competition, teachers and students responded actively, selected topics carefully, organized groups actively, and applied actively. A total of 105 teachers and about 1,300 students in the 188bet participated in the competition, which is worthy of commendation. This organizational recommendation work has created a good atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship on campus, laying a solid foundation for the 188bet’s next step in promoting the transformation of results.
