Recently, our 18bet review successfully held the "2022 Spring Semester Academic Seminar for the Training of High-Quality Applied Talents". This seminar is a special seminar on "Practical Teaching", focusing on academic theoretical and practical exploration of experimental teaching, internship training, social practice, graduation thesis (design) and comprehensive training.
This seminar is hosted by the Education and Teaching Development Research Center, co-organized by various departments (departments), Academic Affairs Office, and College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Center, and is held in an "online" form. There are two agendas: keynote presentation and conference special forum. Leaders and teachers from various units and departments of our 18bet review participated in the seminar, and they also specially invited Professor Li Zhiyi from Dalian University of Technology, Professor Yuan Weiqi from Shenyang University of Technology and Associate Professor Li Anxin from the Department of Chemical Engineering of our 18bet review to give thematic reports. The seminar was chaired by Principal Chen Baodong and Vice Principal Yuan Decheng.
Principal Chen Baodong delivered an opening speech for the seminar and extended warm congratulations on the convening of the seminar. He emphasized that at this stage, our correction is in an important stage of "self-evaluation and self-construction". Ensure the quality of practical teaching, create the characteristics of cultivating applied talents, and further deepen the transformation of schools to application-oriented is one of the key tasks of the 18bet review in the "welcome evaluation and promote construction". Principal Chen hopes that all teachers can comprehensively summarize the practical teaching work of this academic year through this seminar, so as to promote the continuous achievement of new results in practical teaching reform, continuously improve the teaching and educating skills, and concentrate on polishing their three-foot podium into a big stage for the Party to educate people and cultivate talents for the country.
The first item of the keynote report was delivered by Professor Li Zhiyi of Dalian University of Technology, "Undergraduate Teaching Based on OBE (Achievement-oriented Education)". From the three dimensions of "What is OBE", "How to do results-oriented education", and "OBE micro-curriculum design", Professor Li explained how to implement the OBE concept in curriculum teaching practice and how to adhere to the OBE teaching concept to improve the quality of training of 18bet review.
The second item of the keynote report meeting was given by Professor Yuan Weiqi of Shenyang University of Technology. Professor Yuan took the instrument graduation design as an example and introduced the theory of the "instrument" graduation design system based on his own experience, and shared it with us in combination with how to reflect the results-oriented teaching in the graduation design.
The third item of the keynote report meeting was held by Associate Professor Li Anxin of the Department of Chemical Engineering of our 18bet review, who gave the theme report on "Exploration and Practice of Experimental Practice Teaching Model of Chemical Engineering under the Applied Talent Training Model". Teacher Li took "Seven Qualities that Applied Talents Should Have" as the outline, pointing out that the cultivation of applied talents should be based on teachers and implement the win-win mechanism of "18bet review-enterprise cooperation", and combined with the teaching actual situation of the Department of Chemical Engineering of our 18bet review and its personal teaching experience.
After the keynote report meeting, all teachers participated in the special forum meeting for exchanges and discussions based on the actual teaching work and the research direction of teaching reform. This special forum meeting has a total of nine sub-forums. Vice President Yuan Decheng attended and listened to the 18bet review reports of teachers from various sub-forums.
