Recently, the 2017 Liaoning Provincial Undergraduate College Students’ New Media Design 188bet, hosted by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education and the Liaoning Provincial Department of Finance and hosted by Dalian University of Technology and Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, has come to a successful conclusion. In this 188bet, more than 800 works from 32 universities in the province have been registered for the 188bet. After expert online review and on-site final defense session at Dalian University of Technology, our school won a total of 7 awards, namely 2 second prizes and 5 third prizes. The school won the title of "Excellent Organization Award".
This 188bet is the first new media design 188bet held by Liaoning Province. The 188bet aims to enhance the practical ability of college students in new media design, stimulate the creative interest and potential of college students, promote the application of computer technology in new media product design, and cultivate college students' teamwork awareness and innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities. The 188bet works emphasize interactive new media, and the works are divided into four categories: new media e-reading, new media vehicle application, new media data visualization, and new media creative design.
In the organization of this 188bet, the school leaders attached great importance to it. The College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Center and the Information Department coordinated and organized and actively participated in the 188bet lectures, organized more than 50 entries on the school, and nearly 200 students participated. Among them, the team guided by teachers Meng Xianjiao, Wang Jiao, Qin Xiaohong and Xu Peng stood out and entered the final. In the final, our school’s student team showed solid foundation and best state, bringing glory to the school. At the same time, it has also strengthened the exchanges with sister colleges and universities, cultivated the combination of innovative spirit and practical application capabilities, and promoted the in-depth integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education and professional education.
